The Halo 4 League enables players to show how good they really are when it comes to War Games. When the league starts, statistics for each player who is registered into the league will be used to calculate the position in which they are. The better you do, the higher you are placed. The league will consist of several divisions, where players must do well in the current division before being promoted to the next one up. Do badly and you could find yourself being demoted! Each month the scores are reset and the season starts over, with players remaining in the current division, being promoted or demoted.
The scores displayed on the league are almost in real-time. Every 5 minutes, we look at the gamers service record to determine how well he/she has done since the last time we looked (5 minutes ago!). All the gamer has to do is play as much War Games on Halo 4 as possible. The gamer can regularly check their progress by visiting the league table immediately after playing a game.
Your score is calculated using statistics from each game mode on War Games. It doesn’t matter who you play against, whether your opponents are in the league or not. All we are interested in, is how well you are doing on War Games. The following is used to calculate your league points:
Points = (Kills – Deaths) + Medals + Games Won
The above calculation aims to take into account your kill/death ratio, your general game-play and your ability to play well as part of a team.
The Halo 4 League will be used in the future as a means of running competitions. In the future we will hold competitions for the highest points earned in a season, most kills, most medals etc. As you don’t have to do anything apart from play War Games on Halo 4, it’s worth registering.
We will also use the Halo 4 League to run along side out Haloathon events in the future.
We are currently taking entries for BETA testing. Please visit this hidden page and click on “Register for the league” to enter.
