Hello, we are Haloathon! We are here to play as much Halo as we can while raising money for SpecialEffect. While we are doing this, all of our shenanigans are being beamed out onto the internets via Ustream and broadcast on this fine website you are feasting your eyes on. Head over to the Live Stream page to check out what we’re doing and hop into the chat and say Hi!

There are 6 Halo games in total, thats about 70 levels and we will be playing as many as we can, back to back, non-stop, pure pwnage. The more you donate to SpecialEffect the more levels you will unlock for us to continue playing, you can donate directly from our website securely using PayPal. The money donated goes straight to SpecialEffect and is never handled by us or any third party while it’s travelling down the wires, we only keep track of successful donations so we can enter you into competitions and say thanks!

During the event we have loads of Halo goodies we acquired at HaloFest to give away so check out the SWAG page for scheduled contests, we will also be dishing out some swag at random times and over twitter so give us a follow so you’re always in the loop. We also have some awesome prizes courtesy of InsertCoin Clothing, GlueJunkie Decals, Xbox EMEA team (thanks Acey!) and also some homegrown Haloathon T-shirts. These will all be dished out in good old fashioned raffle style, so the more you donate, the more chance you have of winning.

We have also set up a the Haloathon League which you can join when you donate by entering your gamertag, all donations will be automatically entered into our league. So once you’ve donated, fire up Halo Reach or Anniversary matchmaking and start racking up kills to climb the league, prizes will also be dished out to noble members of the league. Top league positions will be announced live and you can also head back to our page to see how well (or bad) you’re doing!

The main team consists of Paul, Dan and Gregg. We hope to have some friends drop in and out during the event to give us a hand and let us nap. We are all in our (early) 20′s and the event is taking place in Newcastle Upon Tyne at an undisclosed location!
